Every year, the Dutch Interactive Awards are presented to Holland's most exceptional interactive projects. This year was a special edition: OpenDairy was nominated for an award! To be recognized as a true disrupter only a little bit over a year after founding our company means a lot to us. Spoiler: we won!
The Dutch Interactive Awards (DIA) are the awards for the best interactive work from Dutch agencies. The awards are presented yearly and organised by Emerce and DDA. A jury of heavyweights from the industry review the hundreds of cases in 15 different categories and select a silver and gold winner in each.
When we received the news that we were nominated in the category Disrupter we couldn't be more excited! There are several categories that would have fit our proposition as well, like B2B Commerce, Digital for Good and Digital Transformation, but Disrupter fits like a glove with what we're trying to accomplish.
Together with our partner from the get-go WeAreBrain we pitched the idea of OpenDairy and presented the process of building the platform as well as the growth of our client base of future path. Our CEO Martijn Goedhart and WeAreBrain's Anastasia Gritsenko did a great job packing all that information in just a few minutes.
We were impressed by the number and quality of nominees and the projects they pitched, it shows how a small country can be big in innovative concepts.
Last night, June 2nd, was the award ceremony, where our founders joined Anastasia for some good food, nice drinks and a healthy tension.
Although just being there and enjoying the companionship of so many creative people would have been more than enough for a great night, it turned out even better than we anticipated...
We are extremely proud that, due to the fierce competition of all the other great projects, the jury found OpenDairy to be one of two winners in its category.
This is what the jury had to say about us:
“A very good project that is disruptive in multiple ways. On the one hand the classical marketplace disruption: cutting out the middle man. On the other hand, it adds something positive in the supply chain and could have been nominated in the Digital for Good category as well.”
“The platform has a worldwide influence on the market which allows it to have a global impact.“
The jury also applauded the close cooperation with and impact of agency partner WeAreBrain.
We’re excited that our good work is acknowledged by both industry and non-industry specialists and we continue to help both sellers and buyers of dairy ingredients to optimize their trading process.
